NOTE FROM THE DOCTOR -

Dr. Katrina Parker has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Spanish from Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia. She graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry, Chicago, with a Doctor of Optometry degree and a Bachelor of Science in Visual Science. While in her graduate program, she was awarded the Eugene W. Strawn Leadership and Service Award twice, and was chosen for the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society. Her post graduate training consisted of a residency in Cornea and Contact Lens from the University of Houston College of Optometry. As a therapeutic doctor of Optometry she is licensed to diagnose and treat ocular disease and ocular conditions related to systemic conditions. She is certified by the Texas Optometry Board to practice as a Glaucoma Specialist. Dr. Parker specializes in contact lens fitting, and is experienced in primary eye care for the entire family. Currently she is a clinical faculty member at the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Dr. Parker is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and is the Secretary for Harris County Optometric Society. She enjoys outdoor activities, working out, cooking, reading and decorating her new home located in the Heights.
