NOTE FROM THE DOCTOR -
Dr. Neshia Rudd is a native of East
Texas and is excited to have the opportunity to
bring Today's Vision to Tyler, Texas. She was
raised in Daingerfield, Texas and has lived in
Tyler since 1998. Her office is located at 4139
South Broadway, at the corner of Shelley Drive
and Broadway Avenue, next to FastSigns and across
from First Christian Church.
Dr. Rudd has been providing eye care in Tyler
for 6 years. Prior to opening her new office,
she practiced at DeHaven Eye Clinic and afterward
was located next door to EyeMasters. She is both
a Therapeutic Optometrist and an optometric glaucoma
specialist. While priding herself in offering
compassionate health care, Dr. Rudd also provides
comprehensive vision examinations, eye exams and
contact lens fitting. While in school, Dr. Rudd
was awarded numerous leadership and service awards
including The Robert William Zipper Memorial Leadership
Award. This award is presented each year to the
graduating student who best exemplifies the standards
set by Dr. Zipper. The award was presented to
Dr. Rudd for demonstrating outstanding leadership
abilities, compassion for peers and patients,
exhibiting a genuine and unfailing concern for
patients and dedication to the profession of optometry.
Dr. Rudd chose to complete internships at Lackland
Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas and at the
Veterans Administration Hospital in Amarillo,
Texas.
Dr. Rudd is actively involved in the Tyler Community
and professionally is a member of the Gold Key
International Optometric Honor Society, Beta Sigma
Kappa, American Optometric Association, Texas
Optometric Association and the Better Business
Bureau.
Personally Dr. Rudd has been a leader in Bible
Study Fellowship, is a member of Grace Community
Church in Tyler where she sings on the worship
team and is also with Karis - a Christian women's
ensemble.
When not working, Dr. Rudd enjoys
spending time with family and friends, fly-fishing,
exercising and gourmet cooking.
