Angle of Vision

This is a subjective measurement of peripheral vision. It can be measured very sensitively by varying light stimuli or measured very grossly as with finger-counting confrontation. All are performed one eye at a time. The angle of vision may be performed with a computerized visual fields device which is very accurate in measuring a patient's peripheral vision. The diagram below was generated by this type of device. Black areas represent decreased vision.
