Phorometry

Phorias and ductions deal with the determination of the power of accommodation (focusing) and convergence (inward muscle action), and with the action of the two in relation to each other in varying planes of focus. Measurements are made with a variety of techniques including prisms, occluders, Maddox rods and light sources, and these are established at distance and near points with horizontal and vertical components.
